  4. Description • Color: Mostly orange with touches of yellow, black, brown, and also red • Weight:(Male)318 lbs. (Female) 143 • Size:4.4-9 ft. Arm span over seven feet long.

  6. Diet (Food) • Durians, litchis, mangoes, other fruits, leaves, insects, small mammals and birds. The diet of Orangutans include over 400 things.

  10. Other interesting facts • “Orangutan” means people of the forest in Malay. Orangutans are the largest tree dwelling mammals in the world. Orangutans build nests high up in trees with bent branches, where they sleep at night. There are only two species of Orangutan. Flanged males are larger in size than unflanged males. The Orangutans at the Toledo Zoo are part of the subspecies rehab program.
