  2. What is My Role? • Are you a statistician? No? Then don’t try to be one. Be the best librarian you can be  • Data queries are not that different than literature queries. Ref Interview! • Learn from your colleagues about disciplinary archives and commercial data sources. • How far you take the patron is up to you.

  3. Patron Queries • Assessing the question: • Who/where/what/how long? • What is the patron’s skill-level? • Raw Data • Stat package ready? ASCII files? • Aggregators • Free vs. Fee? • Government data, pretty easy to grab • Private sector data, not always so easy to grab
