Advanced CFD Application for Turbulent Flows Simulation |

NGA- Developed at Stanford University, NGA excels in modeling complex turbulent flows with variable density and low Mach number, challenging to represent due to aliasing errors. The large-scale combustion simulations on the BG/P NGA@KSL involve running renowned CFD experiments like the Sandia Flame D and high-fidelity Shaheen simulations. |

  1. NGA Originally developed at Stanford University, the CFD application, NGA, models complex turbulent flows. These flows: • Have variable density • Have a low Mach number • Are difficult to model due to aliasing and dispersive errors Large-Scale Combustion Simulations on the BG/P NGA@KSL The research group of Prof. FabrizioBissetti is developing NGA to run a number of well-known CFD experiments such as the Sandia Flame D. The team also plans to carry out high-fidelity simulations on Shaheen by increasing resolution and incorporating additional physics.
