Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) • Privacy regulations become effective today (4/14). • Faculty and staff who are enrolled in university-sponsored health plans will be receiving a Notice of Privacy Practices at home that outlines member's rights under HIPAA. This notice serves to inform you of ways in which the university may need to appropriately use your health information, and the responsibilities of the university to limit use of and protect your health information.
