  12. Text-Books : • D.C. KULSHRESHTHA, “Basic Electrical Engineering”, McGraw Hill Education, 2009. • W.H. HAYT, J. E. KEMERLAY & S.M. Durbin, “Engineering Circuit Analysis (Sixth Edition)”, McGraw Hill, 2006. • R.C. DORF & J.A. SVOBODA, “Introduction to Electric Circuits”, John Wiley, 2004. References : • VAN VALKENBURG, “Network Analysis”, Prentice-Hall India Ltd., 2001. • ABHIJIT CHAKRABARTI, SUDIPTA NATH, CHANDAN KUMAR CHANDA, “Basic Electrical Engineering”, Tata McGraw Hill Publishing Co, 2008. • VINCENT DEL TORO, “Principles of Electrical Engineering”, Prentice Hall of India.

  13. EVALUATION SYSTEM • Test – 1 1 hour 15 • Test – 2 1 h 30 min. 25 • Test - 3 2 hour 35 • Attendance 5 • Tutorial & Assignments 10 • Quiz Test 5+5=10 • Total 100

  14. GRADES A+ Outstanding A Excellent B+ Very Good B Good C+ Average C Below Average D Marginal F Fail NOTE : In the final Result, if you get ‘F’ grade, you shall be permitted to appear in ‘Supplementary Exam’ to get better grade.

  15. ATTENDANCE Min Marks = 0 Max. Marks = 5 Criterion for awarding marks : 80 -- 1 83 -- 2 86 -- 3 89 -- 4 90 -- 5 Otherwise ‘F’ Grade will be awarded, Irrespective of your performance in Tests.

  16. Class Notes & Tutorial Problems Maintain one Register, for taking the class-notes. Maintain another Register for solving the tutorial problems. On first page of your Registers, write your NAME, ROLL NO., SUBJECT, CODE, & CREDIT. Bring both these Registers and Scientific Calculator to both tutorial & lecture classes. You may be asked to submit the above Registers twice or more during the Semester. This would carry 5 marks.

  17. Punctuality Enter the Class at least 2 minutes before the scheduled time. If you are late, don’t dare entering the Class; you would get a red dot means absent and not call for attendance.

  18. End of Course Introduction THANK YOU
