  2. Who am I? • IT administrator at ESA • SPOC for new website www.esahq.org • developed in Sitecore 6.6 by CEGEKA • Live since october 2013 raf@esahq.org

  3. ESA target groups • individual members: > 6000 • NEW: associate members: > 12000 and growing • Congress attendees: > 6000 • Exam participation: > 3000 Currently >15600 users with a Sitecore profile

  4. New website www.esahq.org • PAST: login ID + password issued by ESA • Only for ESA members or congress registrants • Unique email only asked at 1st login • NOW: user self-registration • any website user, not just e.g. members • Mechanism to prefill all required data for known users, except email address (creates ‘normal’ extranet account) • Unique email adress asked immediately

  5. Social login at esahq.org – Why? • Lower treshold for all users, esp. existing members • Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter (can be combined) and can be attached later to a ‘normal’ account. • Login required for some content/processes • User still required to provide missing data

  6. Social login quirks? • Order of account creation + must log in before attaching new social account • Password retrieval via social network • Change of email address • Email up to date?

  7. Social features at esahq.org • Sitecore Social Connected facilitated ESA’s first venture into social networks • Facebook like • Twitter tweet • LinkedIn (via Addthis) • Social content messaging • To be implemented? • Social goal messaging • Personalisation

  8. Future projects (with Cegeka) • Online newsletter(s) subscriptions • Redeveloping all ESA online registration applications • Maximizing re-use of Sitecore profile data (prefilling fields) • Social login stays relevant for these developments
