  7. Global Digital Megacorp. Reflections What we learned? • Lack of good RE leads to failure in industry. • RE is an important factor in the software development process. • That it is important to clearly understand the problem prior to working on the solution. • How to effectively use elicitation techniques. • How to examine the quality characteristics of an RS

  8. Global Digital Megacorp. Reflections What we learned? • How to effectively communicate with clients and reach a compromise. • Critically evaluate our own work as well as other’s work. • How to follow IEEE standards for RE • How to use industry standard software – Requisite Pro!!

  9. Global Digital Megacorp. Reflections Challenges • Intricate knowledge of the current system made it difficult to act as external developers. • Difficult to find and remove ambiguity from the RS. • Difficult to understand the client’s needs. • Difficult to evaluate our own work. • Difficult to settle creative differences between group members.

  10. Global Digital Megacorp. Reflections Challenges • Difficult to schedule developer- client meetings. • Difficult to meet project deadlines. • Difficult to keep up with the readings. • Difficult to be attentive to the minute details in the long documents.

  11. Global Digital Megacorp. Reflections Recommendations • Midterm and prototype presentations were too close together. • The lecture slides were good enough to learn the material.
