  2. Who wasbraxton bragg • Braxton Bragg was a confederate general during the civil war. He took command of southern forces at Pensacola. He was the highest ranking officer from north Carolina. He was whom fort bragg is named after.

  3. Important facts about Braxton Bragg • Braxton Bragg was born in Warrenton north Carolina. He lived (1817-1876),he fought many different important people. In June of 1845 he and his company were ordered to join general Zachary Taylor's army.

  5. Who Braxton Bragg was associated with • In September 1863 he defeated General William S. Rosecrans at Chickamauga but Ulysses S. Grant defeated him later at missionary ridge.

  6. Childhood • He was often ridiculed as a child because of his mother’s stint in prison. He graduated fifth in class of fifty from the united states military academy in 1837.

  7. Accomplishments • He graduated from the us military academy. In February 1864 he was summoned to Richmond and made military adviser to the president of the confederacy.
