  1. INTRACYTOPLASMIC SPERM INJECTION (ICSI) – IVF Usually, in the fertilization process, the sperm penetrates into the woman’s egg (known as oocyte in scientific terms), released during the menstrual cycle. This sperm must enter into the oocyte shell to mingle with the female gamete. Deficiencies in the body may lead to poor quality of gamete, or they may be absent in the body, creating a problem during fertilization. ICSI treatment is an emerging technique quite similar to IVF. Like IVF, drugs are given to the patient to produce sufficient productive eggs. At the time of egg extraction, the patient is given local anesthesia, and the eggs are taken out through an injection in the upper vaginal wall. In the same way, your spouse will undergo the same procedure for sperm extraction. He will give his sperm sample on the same day of egg extraction. In the case of no sperm, doctors will take out the sperm through Epididymis or from the testicles by giving local anesthesia. IVF Treatment IUI Treatment Male Infertility Treatment Female Infertility Treatment Hysteroscopic Surgery Laparoscopic Surgery After collection, the sperm is frozen for some time. The sperm is then isolated in a separate chamber and is injected into a woman’s egg. The sample is then placed in an incubator, and it takes 2-3 days to form an embryo, which is then transferred back to the woman’s uterus. Once transplanted, women can confirm her pregnancy through the test. We are the experts! WHO SHOULD GO WITH THIS TREATMENT? ICSI procedure is an advanced methodology and can give a ray of hope to those who don’t have a child because of male infertility. It can even treat the patient with zero sperm count. Some men face problems like poor morphology. This implies sperm’s abnormal movement and such an issue can be treated through ICSI. SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TODAY! If you have undergone IVF treatment previously and failed to get results because of a low fertilization rate, your doctors can recommend you to do ICSI. www.meerutivf.com Read More: What Food to Avoid During Pregnancy Call: 0121-4001888 Address: L-5 Shastri Nagar Meerut 250004 What is Secondary Infertility and its solution?
