Our programs are appropriate for individuals who want help with: • Weight loss (10 to 80 plus pounds) • Weight maintenance • Wellness • Losing weight after pregnancy • High cholesterol • High blood pressure • Hypothyroid • Pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes • Metabolic Syndrome

Our Philosophy Our programs focus on being in Balance with your diet and lifestyle When a person is out of balance it leads to: • consuming too many calories compared to expenditure of calories • food cravings • unstable blood sugar • decreased metabolic rate • increased emotional and stress eating This can result in weight gain, hypertension, high cholesterol, and/or type two diabetes

Our Philosophy When a person is in balancethey: • feel satisfied throughout the day with fewer food cravings • enjoy all foods within a desired calorie range • experience better moods • improved energy • stabilize blood sugar • optimize their metabolic rate This promotes weight loss or maintenance of weight, improved cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels.

  5. How it works… Step One You begin by filling out a questionnaire about your diet and lifestyle and fill in a meal diary.

  6. Home Page You have your own customized home page that includes your navigation through the program, your in-box from your dietitian, an interactive goals tracker, results from your assessment, motivational tip of the week, and your vision that you create during week one.

  7. Mini Diet Makeover Assessment Step 2 Our dietitians work with you to identify the areas that are out of balance. Your dietitian provides a diet makeover, and an action plan. Below is an example of a partial assessment.

  8. Online Workbook Step Three You receive our online workbook broken into 8 sessions where you can go at their own pace: Workbook includes: • meal planning, • healthy food choices, • metabolism, • food cravings, • exercise, • grocery shopping, • stress eating, and more!

  9. E-Coaching Sessions Step Four The most unique and best part of our program is you get to meet with your dietitian with 8 e-coaching sessions in a private, supportive environment to discuss your wins and challenges. This provides regular coaching to work together on strategies so you can meet your goals. Below is a partial example.

  10. E-Coaching Sessions Along with your progress report you also have the option (this part is optional but highly recommended) to submit food records for review during your e-coaching sessions.

  11. Lifetime Membership Once your are a member of the Balance Program you can continue to review your sessions and use all our tools for a lifetime providing long term support. Tools include: • bimonthly e-newsletter • Goals tracker • articles • cookbook • restaurant guide • healthy cooking videos • cooking tips • exercise demos • bmi calculator • Pilates video • discounts on future e-coaching sessions

  12. Long Term Support Continue e-coaching after the program by signing up for additional e-coaching sessions with the Healthy Living Program. We are here for long term support when you need it most. Holidays, vacations, or just feeling like your having setbacks. We understand these times can be tough and we are here for you.

  13. Our Network We have a network of 39 Registered Dietitians. You can pick who you want to work with by going to the About Us page. You work with one dietitian for the entire program to build a relationship and provide continuity of care.
