  3. Scholarships • Major Scholarship providers: • University of Calgary • University of Alberta • Alberta Governement • Rutherford Scholarships. • 2008-2009 - $500,000.00

  4. Keep Informed • It is your responsibility to know scholarship criteria, deadlines & application procedures • Check websites listed in the Info packet • Listen to the daily announcements • Read the School bulletin. • See a counselor or talk to your T.A.

  5. Rutherford Scholarship • Grade Ten: • $300 - 75% -79% ave in 5 subjects • $400 – 80% and above ave in 5 subjects • Subjects: • One of ELA 10-1 or 10-2 • Two of – Math 10 Pure or Applied Science 10 , Social 10-1 or 10-2 • A language other than the one above • Any two courses CTS courses (3 credit min.)

  6. Rutherford • Grade 11: • $500 – 75-79% ave in five subjects • $800 - 80% and higher in five subjects • Subjects: • One of ELA 20-1/20-2 or French 20, 20-2 • Two of Math 20 Applied/Pure, Science 20, • Bio 20, Chem 20, Physcis 20, Social 20-1 or 20-2 and a language other than the one used above. • Any two CTS courses (3 credits minimum)

  7. Rutherford • Grade 12: • $700, 75 – 79 % ave. • $1300 – 80 % or higher • One of ELA 30-1/30-2 or French 30 • One of Math 30 Pure/Applied • Math 31, Sci 30, Bio 30, Chem 30, Physics 30 • Social 30-1/30-2 • A language other than that used above • Two CTS courses.

  8. Rutherford • 75-79 Ave: Gr 10 $300 Gr 11 $400 Gr 12 $700 Total: $1400. 80% or higher: Gr 10 $400 Gr 11 $800 Gr 12 $1300 Total: $2500 (University of Calgary Undergrad tuition 2009-2010: $5161.00)
