    • Good understanding and clear awareness of purpose, audience and context

    • Fully relevant ideas
    • Ample ideas
    • Sufficient development of ideas
  • Language and Organisation:
    • Minimal language errors (i.e. spelling, punctuation, tenses,etc.)

    • Good sequencing, paragraphing and linking of ideas and facts

  • Being able to use reading strategies to make sense of a text:
    • Questioning Technique (5Ws, 1H)
    • Accessing prior knowledge

  • Supplementary Lessons – extension of classroom lessons. All pupils should attend these classes.
