2014 ALLOCATION PROCESS RECAP METROPOLIS OF ATLANTA November 9, 2013
2014 Allocation Summary • See Summary Handout • Total amount allocated: $2,643,517 – same as the 2013 allocation • Of 74 parishes • 66 submitted allocation forms • 2 submitted forms too late to be included in the calculation • Gainesville, FL • Greenville, SC (St. George) • 6 have not submitted any data • Bluff City, TN • Cumming, GA • Fayetteville, NC • Jackson, MS • Ocala, FL • Gulf Shores, FL (too new)
What Worked Well • 46 parishes submitted their forms on or around the due date, THANK YOU! • Of the 66 parishes that submitted allocation forms, all but 3 provided both 2011 and 2012 data as required, THANK YOU!
What Did Not Work Well • The late submission of forms resulted in reduced time to enter and review data prior to the review at the Archdiocese level –remember we are all volunteers. • Some 2011 data were drastically different than what was submitted last year necessitating additional review and adjustments. • Some parishes only submitted 2012 data. • The missing two-year and one-year data resulted in penalty assessment by the Archdiocese that effectively affected all parishes in the Metropolis. • Some forms were hand-written and difficult to read –extra time and frustration to enter the data. • Some forms had wrong subtotal amounts necessitating additional review and correction.
