  20. Steps • The combination of letters that closet to the author’s surname. • Places the first letter of the author’s surname before the number. • Places the first letter or letters of the first important word in the title after the number.

  21. 3b-3 The Library of Congress Classification System • Founded in 1800, by the library of congress • The system represents the main branches of knowledge with 21 letters (without I,O,W,X,Y) of the alphabet. • Addition of letters and Arabic numerals up to 9,999.
