Performs in social-health services and social education cetnters and rehabilitation facilities. Her/his actions must be coordinated with other proffesionals in theese centers. She/he must engage clients, their family, helping comunity as well as enviroment of clients in order to make re-integration of clients possible. Law no. 108/2006Sb. Aboutsocialservices A socialservicesworkershallbe a person a) providingdirectservice to persons in ambulatoryorstay-in socialservicesfacilities, consisting in trainingsimpleeverydayactivities, assistancewithpersonalhygieneand dressing, manipulationwithappliances, aids, clothing, conservancyand care ofpersonalhygiene, support forself-sufficiency, lifeactivation, creationofsocialandsociablecontactsandsatisfaction of psycho-socialneeds, b) performing basic educational non-pedagogicalactivityconsisting in deepeningand strengthening basic hygieneandsocialhabits, influencingcreationanddevelopmentofwork habits, manualskillsandworkingactivity, performing free-timeactivitiesfocused on developmentof personality, interests, knowledgeandcreativeabilities in theformofartand music teaching, physicalexercise, arrangingforspare-timeandculturalactivitiesandprovision ofpersonalassistance, c) domiciliaryactivities in thehouseholdof a person, consisting in performingworkswhile being in directcontactwithpersonswithphysicalandmentaldifficulties, complex care for theirhousehold, arrangingforsocialassistance, performingsocialscreeningunder management of a socialworker, providingassistancewiththecreationofsocialandsociablecontactsandwith psychicaltherapy, organizationalarrangementsandcomplexcoordinationofdomiciliaryactivity. Socialworker Education:Minimaly VOŠ (coledge) – threeyear post high-schooleducation in thefieldofsocialwork(there are exceptions) Internship: not necessary, advantageous Specialrequrements: • Motivationforwork in socialfieldandwithappropriatetargetgroup • Cleancriminalrecord, healthandlegalcapability • Creativity, talkativness, presentationskills, basic managerskills, ability to shareinformationwithothersand to learn.

  6. SocialWoker Competencies Provide educational and socialy educational services by helping doctors, sociologists, psychologists, techers and social assistents. Plan and conduct educational and cultural events directly with children, minors, elderly peaople, diabled people and marginal groups. Social worker performs social investigations, ensure social agenda including social-law counselling in institutions providing: social services, social-law counselling, analytical, methodical and conteptual procedures in social field, special prevention services, screening activities, crysis help, social counselling, social rehabilitation.

WORKING OF CONDITIONS Worker in socialservices Salary: 9000,- ……….. 14500,- Kč (minimalsalarylevellaw + personalbenefit + specialbenefit) Workinghours: 7,5 hours a day (37,5 a week); alsounevenlydistributedworkhours Vacation: 4 weeks + 1 week extra; from 1 yearemployment 5 weeksvacation + 1 extra Benefits: • Luncheonvouchers • Advantageous cell phonerate • Group car insurance- cheappersonal car obligatoryinsurance • Retirementsavingcontribution • Educationismostlypaidfor by employer

SocialWorker Salary: 12000,- ………….. 15 500,- Kč (minimal salary level law + personal benefit + special benefit) Working hours: 7,5 hours a day (37,5 a week) Vacation: 4 weeks + 1 week extra; from 1 year employment 5 weeks vacation + extra if it is applicable Benefits: Luncheon vouchers Advantageous cell phone rate Group car insurance- cheap personal car obligatory insurance Retirement saving contribution Education is mostly paid for by employer
