  2. Class Expectations • Come to class prepared every day (pencil, textbook, notebook, agenda) • Be in your seat working on the bell ringer by the tardy bell • Act in a respectful manner • Complete all assigned work

  3. Consequences

  4. Field Trips • 20 or more checks in a marking period - the student will only be permitted to attend field trips with a parent or guardian

  5. Grades • Grades will be determined through classwork, homework, bell ringers, tests, quizzes, and projects. • Grades will be posted in the classroom on a weekly basis (usually Fridays) • Progress reports will be sent home if you are in danger of failing the marking period or are missing a substantial number of assignments

  6. Tardy • You will be marked tardy if you are not in your seat working on the bell ringer when the tardy bell rings • If you are tardy, sign in on the checklist • Leave any passes with the checklist • Go directly to seat and get to work (do not walk in front of the teacher) • Do not interrupt the class - We can all see that you are late, there’s nothing left for you to announce

  7. What if I am unprepared for class? • Sign on the check sheet below the phone • Turn in an item for collateral (leave near the checklist on my desk) • When you return the pencil at the end of the lass period, you get your item back • Being unprepared results in 1 √

  8. Bell Ringers

  9. Notebooks • Required to keep a notebook and take notes • I do periodic notebook checks and count as a test grade • I will not send you to get your notebook after the tardy bell rings.

  10. Homework • Will be given daily (except for test days) • Each assignment is worth 2 points • ½ credit if turned in late • Late homework assignments will not be accepted after the chapter test • Write the problem and SHOW YOUR WORK • Every 5 missing assignments = drop one letter grade • Worth about 40% of total grade

  11. What if I was absent?
