Strategic Development Plan (2006-2009): Advancing Sustainable Road Construction Technologies

The APT Strategic Plan for 2006-2009 focuses on sustainable development in road construction, incorporating techniques such as cold recycling, alternative materials (RAP), and warm mix technology. Key areas include improving asphalt performance, vehicle-pavement interaction, and facilitating low-volume roads. The plan emphasizes labour-intensive construction methods, new standards for HMA testing, and guidelines for bitumen stabilization. Future projects will enhance rut-resistant mixes and concrete pavements, while training initiatives support job creation and skills development in the road construction sector.
