  3. Presidential Election (Republicans) Warren Harding Calvin Coolidge “America’s present need is not heroics, but healing.” He promised a return to normalcy.

  5. How did Harding feel about himself?? “I knew that this job would be too much for me.” He appointed talented people to his cabinet….He also gave jobs to friends…some were unqualified and corrupt Ohio Gang

  6. Teapot Dome Scandal Albert Fall (Sec. of the Interior) secretly leased oil fields in Teapot Dome, Wyoming to 2 oil companies for $400,000… accused of bribery and sent to prison. Harding said, “I have no trouble with my enemies, but my friends are the ones that keep we walking the floor at night.”

  7. President Harding dies at the age of 58 from a heart attack…. V.P. Coolidge is sworn in as President
