GROUND-WATER FLOW SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS

  • Small aerial extent
  • Flow system usually contained within a single limestone unit
  • Response to precipitation events dependent on conduit size & interconnectedness
  • Chemical quality of ground water variable and tied to precipitation events
