  2. What is communication software? Used to provide remote access to systems and exchange files and message in text, audio and/or video formats between different computers or users. This includes terminal emulators, file transfer programs, chat and instant messaging programs.

  3. EMAIL (electronic mail) • A system for receiving, sending, and storing electronic messages. It has gained nearly universal popularity around the world with the spread of the Internet. • Email has become the preferred method for both personal and business communication.

  4. SKYPE COMMUNICATION SOFTWARE • The service allows users to communicate with peers by voice using a microphone, video by using a webcam, and instant messaging over the Internet.  • Phone calls may be placed to recipients on the traditional telephone networks. 

  5. VOICEMAIL COMMUNICATION SOFTWARE • A computer based system that allows users and subscribers to exchange personal voice messages; to select and deliver voice information; and to process transactions that relating individuals, an organizations, products and services, using an ordinary telephone.

  6. E-mail Image An Internet email message, consists of three components, the message envelope, the message header, and the message body. The message header contains control information, including, minimally, an originator's e-mail address and one or more recipients addresses.

  7. Skype image • The service allows users to communicate with peers by voice using a microphone, video by using a webcam, and instant messaging over the Internet. • Skype has also become popular for its additional features, including file transfer.

  8. Voicemail Image • Voicemail systems are designed to convey a caller's recorded audio message to a recipient. They contain a user interface to select, play, and manage messages; a delivery method to either play or otherwise deliver the message.

  9. What does Communication Software mean? Communication software is an application or program designed to pass information from one system to another. forms a part of communication systems with software components classified according to functions within the Open Systems Interconnection Model (OSI Model).

  10. Techopedia explains Communication Software • In 1970, text chat functionality followed emailing and appeared on bulletin board systems and multiuser computer systems. In the 1980s, the terminal emulator, a piece of software to log into mainframes and access email, was introduced.
