Troops to Teachers • Register yourself NOW at www.proudtoserveagain.com • Submit all required documents • Then Call the TTT National Office and ask for Brenda Stout! and ONLY Brenda Stout! • $5,000 stipend + $5K Bonus • $10,000 possible in Schools/ School Districts • CHANGE OF STATUS! • EVERYONE should apply! • Call the National - not State - Troops to Teachers Office 1 – 800 – 231 - 6242

Montgomery and Post 911 GI Bill • MGIB Chapter 30 • Expires 10 Years after retirement • 36 months of benefits (approx. $50K+) • MGIB Chap 30 may be best for JROTC Instructor – COMPARE Your Options • Post 9/11 Chapter 33 • Expires 15 Years after retirement • BAH for DL Learners enrolled >51% • Read fine print!! Call – VA Rep to determine benefits: 1– 888 – 442 - 4551

Vocational Rehabilitation Chapter 31 • Normally expires 12 Years after retirement OR after first rating • 36 months of benefits • Pays books and stipend • Strong success at Associate and Bachelor level with some Master’s degrees funded • Normally 20% or higher disability rating but some 10% have had success obtaining funding • APPLY!

  22. Key 911 Changes • Effective October 1, 2011 Allows students to use the Post-9/11 GI Bill for: • Housing allowance is now payable to students enrolled solely in distance learning. The housing allowance payable is equal to ½ the national average BAH for an E-5 with dependents. The full-time rate for an individual eligible at the 100% eligibility tier would be $673.50 for 2012 or estimated $538.80 at 80%. • [NOTE: must be enrolled at 51% or higher to receive allowance] • Effective August 1, 2009, But Not Payable Until October 1, 2011 • Expands the Post-9/11 GI Bill including Active Service by National Guard members under title 32 U.S.C. for the purpose of organizing, administering, recruiting, instructing, or training the National Guard; or under section 502(f) for the purpose of responding to a national emergency.
