What is it? • A essay writing contest put on by The Peoria County Bar Association (PCBA) • PCBA invites you to help them celebrate in the 55th annual observance of Law Day on May 1, 2013 • Essays will be judged on the basis of content, creativity, originality and ability to discuss the Law Day theme

  3. Awards • Awards will be given to the top two essays in each division (5th and 6th grade division, 7th and 8th grade division) • The four essay winners, their parents and their teachers will be invited to the PCBA Law Day luncheon on May 10 • Winners will be announced at the luncheon • First place winner: $100.00 • Second place winner: $50.00

  4. Essay Theme • Explain the steps that one specific American has taken to provide “Equality for All”, and give a historical or modern day example of why such efforts improve lives and our country.
