A New Class of Patients What Remains the Same What Has Changed More injuries are treatable and survivable Advanced care much far foreward Care has improved Expectations are much higher (Preventability) QA/QM involved • Injuries are devastating • Severity drives Urgency (at least most of the time) • Measured/monitored vital signs relatively unchanged • Some patients will die • Only Winner in War is Medicine
