    6. Practical Experience The REC 403 class, Internship in Recreation and Leisure Studies, is required of all recreation majors. It provides an opportunity for students to learn and work in an environment that they are considering to pursue a career in. Total Credits = 69

    14. As Said by a Recreation and Leisure Professor Dr. Kennedy noted that recreational professionals are necessary because they provide meaningful activities and programs for people to take part in to fulfill the third of peoples lives that they use for leisure time.

    15. As Said by a Students Keyke Talbot stated that even though having fun is involved in being a recreational professional, the emphasis for people in these careers is on helping people reach an optimal state of health.

    16. Reasons Recreation and Leisure Studies Appeals to Me I enjoy being around people and seeing them happy. I like to help people learn. I have always enjoyed being active in sports and other leisure activities.

    17. More of Why I want to Be a Recreational Professional I want to be an positive influence people so they can make good decisions about how they spend their free time. I want to make a difference in a field that no one believes requires a college degree in.

    18. The Importance of the Recreation and Leisure Studies Major This major is not just fun and games! Recreation and Leisure studies prepares students to aid others in having enjoyable, safe, healthy, and meaningful activities to take part in.
