Practical Steps • Accountable Body role • Alert them to implications • Archiving • Normally external, needs to be integrated into Accountable Body procedures • Asset Registers • Depreciate & update appropriately • Capital Assets • Waiver agreements or asset transfer agreements from GOL on capital projects

  4. What Next? • Board Review • Projects Review • Area Needs Review • Community Needs Review • Future Regeneration Strategy • Future Funding & Income Strategy • Asset Transfer & Endowments

  5. Board Review • Is Year 10 the end? • Hurrah job done • What Board do you need to see it to its final completion & successful handover? • Further Regeneration required? • Job not done… • What Board do you need to move forward with? • Successor Body? • Who do you want and why?

  6. Programme Review • Have you met your key outcomes? • What can you practically achieve? • Narrow down on key areas • Look for gaps where you can make a real difference • Look to transfer project responsibilities immediately • Be heartless….

  7. Projects Review • Individual review of all projects • Are they sustainable? • Who will adopt them? • What should you fund in the final years? • Who will match fund? • Who will take on responsibility now?

  8. Job Done? • What does the physical environment still need? • What does the community still need? • Is this an opportunity to actually write a fresh strategy for the area? • What can you do to embed achievements? • What can you do to encourage continued support & investment?

  9. Future • Establish Local Authority buy in to an on-going regeneration strategy for the area • Research likely funding sources • Establish successor vehicle • Agree transfer of asset base • Agree endowment fund…

  10. Discussion • No one will tell us how to do this • There are no simple solutions • The answers lie within….
