  2. Logging On • Go to bridges.com • Use the “Site ID” tab • JHHS Login Info: • Site ID: 10000358 • PW: E7g9w4D8

  3. Bridges.com Select “Choices Planner”

  4. Select Interest Profiler

  5. Answer the questions • Don’t think about “Right now” – think about what you would like to do in the future • When you are done, you’ll see your results • Scroll down to read your top interest areas and top Career Clusters – you’ll include information about these in the email to your teacher

  6. Click to see careers that match your interests

  7. Read about interpreting your results and then browse the results

  8. Careers are listed in alphabetical order! • Because we just did a very basic interest survey, your results are fairly broad • Careers are listed in alphabetical order • Select 5 careers suggested for you, and respond to the questions about this career in your email • You’ll do a more detailed career analysis on one of these five careers on Thursday

  9. Interested in a more detailed career finder? • Ask Mr. Shuptrine or Mrs. Sanchez – we can set you up with more detailed searches that will give you lots more information.

  11. Career Research Activity • Download the Career Research powerpoint template from mrssanchez.com • View the grading rubric • Log back on to bridges.com to access the research materials

  12. Select “work” to research careers

  13. Select a career cluster and a career inside that cluster • Look at the details for the career • All the info for the research is included here

  14. Job Outlook • Pay special attention to the “job outlook” section • This incudes information about whether this career is expected to be stable, decline or have growth over the next 10 years • This information is from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (bls.gov)
