  23. Hybrid Inverter Technology Hybrid inverter driven compressors operate in much the same way as an inverter compressor however the software in the system is modified so that the maximum speed of the compressor is capped at the rated capacity. For example the rated and maximum capacity of the FTYN60D + RYN60D is 6.0kW When the unit is first switched on, the compressor gradually increases it's speed unit it gets to its rated speed and will operate at this speed, until the room temperature starts getting close to the set temperature. The compressor speed then slows down in order to maintain the room temperature at the desired level. In cooling, if the room temperature starts falling below the set temperature and the compressor is already at it’s lowest speed, the system will cycle the compressor off in order to avoid overcooling the room. The compressor will restart if and when the room temperature rises above the set temperature. In heating, if the room temperature starts rising above the set temperature and the compressor is already at it’s lowest speed, the system will cycle the compressor off in order to avoid overheating the room. The compressor will restart if and when the room temperature falls below the set temperature In some systems, the minimum speed of the compressor may also be higher than that of an equivalent inverter system.

  24. Fixed SpeedTechnology A fixed speed system starts up like an inverter system, but operates and shuts down like a non inverter system. When the system is first switched on, the compressor starts up like an inverter system, gradually increasing its speed until it gets to it’s rated capacity/speed and stays there. In cooling when the temperature in the room falls below the temperature set by the user, like a non inverter system the system cycles the compressor off. The compressors will restart only when the room temperature rises above the set temperature in cooling. In heating when the temperature in the room rises above the temperature set by the user, like a non inverter system the system cycles the compressor off. The compressors will restart only when the room temperature falls below the set temperature.

  25. Inverter Technology Inverter driven compressors vary their speed to suit the amount of cooling or heating that is required. By nature they have a maximum and a minimum speed and are normally rated at a speed that typically is lower than the maximum speed. (For example, the FTXS60G + RXS60FB system has a minimum capacity of 1.7kW, a rated capacity of 5.9kW, a maximum capacity of 6.7kW). When the unit is first switched on, the compressor gradually increases its speed and may operate at a higher than its rated speed in order to heat or cool the room quicker. Once the room temperature gets close to the set temperature, the compressor speed slows down in order to maintain the room temperature at the desired level. In cooling, if the room temperature starts falling below the set temperature and/or the compressor is already at it’s lowest speed, the system will cycle the compressor off in order to avoid overcooling the room. The compressor will restart if and when the room temperature rises above the set temperature. In heating, if the room temperature starts rising above the set temperature and/or the compressor is already at it’s lowest speed, the system will cycle the compressor off in order to avoid overheating the room. The compressor will restart if and when the room temperature falls below the set temperature

  26. How does it work? • A Daikin Ducted System provides air conditioned comfort to new and existing homes. • The indoor unit is usually located in the ceiling or under the floor with flexible ductwork distributing conditioned air through vents located throughout the house, where as, the compressor is installed outside the home. Daikin ducted systems can be designed to operate in two or more zones, which can be heated or cooled at different times. This means you can operate your air conditioning system in the living area during the day and in the bedrooms at night saving you money on energy costs.
