  2. a) AT HOME • Frequent visits of relatives, friends in the evening and holidays. • Television-distraction , disturbance , popular serials/sops/sports events. • Small one room accommodation –disturbance • Celebrations like- Anniversaries, Birthday parties/celebrations/attending etc. • Festivals/Fairs etc. – To avoid going to Fares etc.

Home environment-conducive/not conducive • Quarrelling parents • Drinking habits of parents • Abusive parents • Domestic work – exploitation – Girls(Domestic works, Utensils) Boys(Shopping work etc.) Beating children for doing domestic work • Sick parents/family members/dependent family members. • Social Status of family-Socio-Economic background of the parents.

  4. b) Peer pressure • Friends influence – To pull down ambition/goals • Company of low achievers • Low level of satisfaction • Provocation of doing heroic acts. • Enough is enough attitude • Always from ones influence • Example of successful students-previous batches-slow learners.

  5. c) school • Low level of inferiority complex • Comparing with others. • Not able to ask doubts-fear of peers/low level respect • Teacher may say something like-”You don’t know this also” • Encouragement from teacher to do better-without criticism/demoralization • Comprehension-Language problem Understanding of questions Spending more time on questions which don't require

Give very short answers-instead length long answer and vice-versa • Trivial mistakes like +,_,x,%, writing units, putting decimals, years/dates, putting dots in numerical data/Name of dynasty/economic data etc. • Diagram : Labeling of diagrams, arrow, parts identification, directions in circuits, legibility in writing numerical • Spelling in (English and) language subjects. • To give alternative answers and to encourage them to use their language instead of text book language

  7. d) Teachers • To explain difficult concept by using model or equipment/charts/CD using ICT. • To prepare first for minimum passing percentage – 40% • Progressively aiming for higher targets • By sure shot questions-identify chapters, probable are of question like map work, 1 or 2 mark questions-100% expected questions from unit in each subject.

  8. e) students • Low esteem/low/poor goals and target in life. • Imitating parents/elder in the family. • Long telephonic conversations on trivial matters. • Frequent visits to friends house spending more. time-pretext of discussion , study, solving papers etc. • Long hours on computers/internet- facebook-distraction. • Attending parties of friends, relatives etc.-like birthday, some celebrations on pretext/the others.

  9. Drugs-Bad habits like smoking cigars/chewing tobacco/pan masala/coffee/tea etc. • Lack of concentration: short spell of studies • Time importance-No sufficient time/Time table preparation-adhering to time table etc.
