Key facts after 2 years • STRATINC has achieved and delivered: • Learning process at each cluster level: improved knowledge of the ‘milieu’ • Learning process at STRATINC level through exchange of experience • See Mireille’s presentation (Progress Report) Lacave Allemand & Associés - October 13, 2005

  5. Cross-examination • Which participant at this moment considers it has a fully-fledged cluster (according to Porter’s definition) or an ‘on going’ cluster ? • How STRATINC did help to go along the ‘clustering road’ ? (‘level’ of clustering) • What has been so far the contribution to a wider regional approach (« regional innovation strategy ») ? See next slide Lacave Allemand & Associés - October 13, 2005

Possible consequences on PTFA, future Science Park ? • Other ? Lacave Allemand & Associés - October 13, 2005

  7. Thinking for the months ahead • Prepare for Structural Funds 2007-2013 : « Innovation and the Knowledge-based economy » (Obj. 1 and 2) building upon (‘capitalising’) on STRATINC achievements • Develop human capital (mutual learning) through making STRATINC ‘sustainable’ (PRO INNO ?) Lacave Allemand & Associés - October 13, 2005

  8. Thinking for the months ahead • Experiment KM methodologies and instruments within clusters and within each cluster’s companies – partnerships with market / business research organisations ?
