  4. Please support a great cause Over the last 12 years brown dog have raised over a quarter of a million pounds which has been used to help men, women and children across the UK who have cancer. Every pound we receive goes directly to purchase this equipment – we have no overheads or administration costs that many other charities have. We use used the funds raised very wisely and in the last 3 years alone we have funded the Liver Microwave , the Molemax /Mohs Skin Cancer Equipment, a Breast Cancer Scanner and a dedicated care room in a Children’s Cancer unit which have all helped to improve patient care, diagnostics and are saving lives. Most of the money we raise is achieved through our annual challenge event in June that brings people (old members and new members) together from all over the country. Today we are delighted to announce our 2013 Appeal and in this pack is a summary of the two challenges we have planned on 8th June 2013 to raise money to support this. Our more demanding challenge is the “Snowdon Sunset” challenge Our alternative (not as demanding) challenge is the “Rickety bridge” challenge This pack should will provide you with information on both our challenges and what you need to do to register and join our 2013 fund raising team (later in the new year you will receive a comprehensive pack on the detail of both challenges, this pack should cover the basic information you need right now) We have no rules about how much money you need to raise (we assume you will raise as much as you possibly can) – the only rule we have is that you must be 18 at the time of the challenge
