4. MAKE USE OF GLASS DOORS Make use of glass doors to open the deck which helps, you to see the deck when they are closed. It allows the people to move freely between the room and deck. It also gives the feel of being in the same room. 

5. DECK SIZE Don't make any adjustment on the size of your deck build a deck bigger than your living room. Use your deck as an additional living room with chairs, tables, television, bed, etc. It can beused as a living space during the milder temperature of the year.
