  2. Bourbon whiskey is a barrel-aged and distilled American liquor, made from fermented grains like corn, rye, and barley. Bourbon has been generally associated with the southern region of the United States of America and, in particular, the state of Kentucky. Other than whiskey, vodka is also popular in the USA. In the local vodka distilleries, flavored vodkas are becoming increasingly popular in addition to pure vodka. These are made by infusing pure vodka with flavors of fruits and spices. One unique feature of vodka is that it can be shipped to the market without any maturation.

  3. Bourbon Whiskey For bourbon whiskey, the grain mixture from which it is distilled, known as the mash, must have a minimum of fifty-one percent corn. The remainder of the components can be barley, wheat, or rye. The bourbon whiskey undergoes distillation twice—first in a beer still and the second in a heated copper pot still. There is no minimum specified duration for the aging period of Bourbon. The exception to this is straight bourbon, which will have a minimum aging requirement of about two years. In addition, any bourbon that is aged less than four years has to include an age statement on the label. Bourbon that has the label "blended" (or it is being sold as a blend) can consist of added coloring, flavoring, as well as other spirits. It should, however, have a minimum of 51 percent of straight bourbon in the product. Bourbon can be served neat, or diluted with water, with ice or cola, or with other beverages in cocktails and mixed drinks. Bourbon is also used in cooking and has been used for medicinal purposes in the past.

Yeast is added to this pulp, which begins the process of fermentation and conversion of sugars into alcohol. The distillation process starts, and then the vodka is examined to check the desired alcohol content. If the content is low, it will be distilled again. Pure vodka is repeatedly heated into vapors and distilled to remove any flavors. The condensed vapor becomes a liquid when cooled, and then it is filtered. The finished vodka usually has an alcohol content of up to 40 percent. Local vodka distilleries can produce hundreds of liters at a single time.
