  2. Agenda • EDS Follow-ups from last meeting • EDS 2 • Release 3: Telemetry & State Estimator • EDS 3 • Release 5 & 6: SCED / LFC • Registration Status TPTF

  3. Frequency Plot 6/25/08 TPTF

  4. 7/15 ICCP Site fail-over results • Denton & College Station TSPs, and Exelon QSE, had not set up their Taylor links. • LCRA TSP was only able to support one link at a time. • STEC TSP’s link had to be cycled. No issues thereafter. • STEC QSE was unable to read their base points from us. • AEP QSE link was up, but no data was available. • AEN TSP performed a site failover at the same time as the test. They came back up after a few minutes. • Since the test: • QSE & TSP ICCP Associations Completed • Working through outstanding issues with three MPs • ICCP High Availability Completed TPTF

  5. Met Data from WGRs • Individual detailed letters were distributed to WGRs on Aug 7th • Letters provided Meteorological data status by resource • Requested response by August 14th on how they will correct the issues • Deadline for issue correction is October 31st • Current Status on next two slides TPTF

  6. Wind Telemetry • MMS UI Feedback • Concerned about the amount of work needed to view/update COPs, etc. for multiple resources. Current UI allows user to view multiple days for one unit, not multiple units for one day • Concerned about the way error and confirmation messages display (not implemented yet) • Concerned about raw .xml displaying on the Awards tab (not implemented yet) TPTF

  7. Wind Telemetry TPTF

  8. Focused State Estimator Testing Dates • Please reference the market notice on July 25 titled Focused State Estimator Support Date and Requirements and Continuing SCED Input Requirements • Results from 8/6 – lower than non-focused days • EDS team will communicate through multiple channels prior to the next testing date • ERCOT is reinforcing roles / responsibilities internally TPTF

  9. QSE Telemetry TPTF

  10. TSP Telemetry TPTF

  11. Load Observability • AEP were very proactive in providing telemetry and still more to come. • ONCOR have provided majority of their telemetry • All remaining issues are being actively worked by MPs and ERCOT • * All buses included in this list have a load TPTF

  12. State Estimator- Convergence Rate – June ERCOT Software Upgrade caused convergence issue • Monthly Convergence: 83.49% TPTF

  13. State Estimator- Convergence Rate – July • Monthly Convergence: 85.33% TPTF

  14. MP10 Status • MP10 forms were due to ERCOT by April 15, 2008 • Initiation of network model change process (Transmission Data Forms as needed) target date of two weeks of ERCOT request • Status of 179 sites • 70% are complete • 8% need to submit Transmission Data Forms or review corrected packages • 16% are waiting on feedback/corrections by ERCOT • 6% are non-responsive • Submittals to include • MP10 Form w/ all boxes checked if approved • If not approved, briefly write issues on MP10 form • If ERCOT model change required: • Complete ERCOT Transmission Data Form • Send correct updated operational (non-relaying) one-line for facility TPTF

  15. MP10 – Next Steps • Updated MP10 Metric Criteria • The Readiness Team will review documentation that verifies that all participating resources in the Texas Nodal Market have completed their mapping of Resources to Resource Nodes and Resources to EPS Meters. • Readiness will be achieved when each resource has either mapped their Resources or have accepted the existing default configuration. • It is the intent of this metric to ensure that the settlement of Resources involved in a net metering configuration can be executed as specified by the Nodal Protocols. • Target Completion: Receipt of Network Model One-Line (NMO) + 30 Days TPTF

  16. MP11 Status • Review/Validation process and timing • Business review by WCS (may need immediate corrections by MP in order to load into RARF database) • EDS critical data review continues with feedback to MP • Technical review by data consumers within ERCOT in progress • Status of 221 sites • 77% Tier 1 Validation is complete • 18% Contain missing or inaccurate data • 2% Missing critical data • 3% Non-responsive TPTF

  17. MP-11 - Ongoing Registration Data Screening TPTF

  18. MP11 – Next Steps • Updated MP11 Metric Criteria • The intent of this metric is that ERCOT has all registration related data for all market participants intending to participate in the Nodal Market on record. • Updated MP 11 Metric Criteria: To work towards final acceptance of Resource Registration documents to include: • Acceptance of RARF • Acceptance of Resource Network Topology Registration • Non-Modeled Generation Declaration • Resource Decision Making Authority Attestation • Target Completion: December 31, 2008 TPTF
