  1. Campus BluePrint UNC’s Premier Progressive Publication

Campus BluePrint is a non-partisan student publication at UNC-Chapel Hill.   Although founded as a committee of UNC Young Democrats, it is now an independent organization that aims to provide a forum for open dialogue on progressive ideals at UNC-Chapel Hill and in the greater community.  The intent is to produce a publication that will cover political, cultural, and social news as well as publish pertinent opinion columns that will promote discussion about progressive ideals. 

  3. The Breakdown • Planning process began in Spring 2009 • Regular production starting in Fall 2009 (currently 2.5 years old) • Publish 4 issues per semester • 2 online, 2 print • 32 pages each • 800 copies per issue • Around 50 staff members

  4. Partnerships Campus BluePrint collaborates with several other progressive student organizations to provide a forum for involved students to report on the issues that matter most to them. We currently work with Energy and Environment Policy Center of the Roosevelt Institute, FLO (Fair, Local, Organic) Food, and Students United for Immigrant Equality and Advocates for Human Rightsof the Campus Y.

  6. Campus Progress is a national organization that works with and for young people to promote progressive solutions to key political and social challenges. Through programs in activism, journalism, and events, Campus Progress engages a diverse group of young people nationwide, inspires them to embrace progressive values, provides them with essential trainings, and helps them to make their voices heard—and to push policy outcomes in a strongly progressive direction. Published with support from Campus Progress, a division of the Center for American Progress. Paid also in part by UNC Student Congress.
