Here’s why the

THE

Morning

Club

is so successful:

1. Most people are “morning people”

We have a 24-hour circadian

rhythm that responds to light.

During the day the hormone

melatonin increases and you get

drowsy. Light in the morning

reverses the effect and fills you with

new energy, hope, and focus.

2. Your body needs exercise

Our body is build on a chassis from the

Palaeozoic age when all we did was

hunt and hibernate. Nothing has

changed, except we don’t hunt and we

“hibernate” too much. Every day you

need a healthy dose of exercise to stave

off dementia, stroke, and heart

disease, slim the belly and boost your

energy, diet, and alertness (in case of

saber-tooth tigers).

3. There are less distractions in the morning

During the day, children, phones,

appointments, email, and work get

yourattention. But the morning time…

that could be all yours.

1. Make a plan the night before

Don’t try to make decisions

in morning.

Instead, write out a simple

plan the night before

(and sleep on it).

2.Add time to your routine

Complete your planning with cut-off times

like: 5:30 write blog,

6:15 fast walk with dog,

6:45 shower, breakfast,

7:30 leave.

3.Go to bed earlier

You want to be fully rested (most

studies recommend 7-8 hours

sleep) and alert for the

MORNING CLUB. If you plan to

rise one hour earlier - go to bed

one hour earlier.

4.Get up earlier

The Mayo Clinic recommends a

consistent sleep-wake cycle for

optimal health. Stick with this new

routine for at least three weeks.

5.Stick to your plan

If exercise is at 6:15AM -

at 6:15 stand up and go.

The Morning Club sets

the tone for your day -

be a promise keeper.

6.Make this a routine

Don’t let visiting relatives,

staying out late, or being

tired throw you off. Your

job is to practice your

morning routine until it

becomes a habit.

7.Reward yourself

Enduring habits always deliver

a reward. Mark your calendar,

check a list, pat yourself on the

back, or ask for a HIGH 5!
