  2. Exchange program at TTU • For every student rather than the elite • Every student is encouraged to apply and participate in the exchange program. • www.tntech.edu

  3. International exchange programs at Tennessee Tech University Magellan and ISEP One-on-one agreements with schools in Korea, Japan, Sweden, Germany, Egypt, Brazil, Austria, and the Ukraine. At TTU, all J-1 students will pay in-state tuition. (i. e. an automatic $12,100 tuition scholarship for all international exchange students)

  4. Step for application • Step 1 - Apply for Admissions Complete an International Exchange/Visiting Student Application(PDF) for admissions or APPLY ONLINE.

  5. Step 2 - Request Official Transcripts • Transcript to TTU from your institution. • All transcripts must be in English.

  6. Step 3- Cost and Affidavit of Support • Evidence of financial support to cover the cost of attendance. • The estimated amount required for issuance of the DS2019 is $5900 U.S. dollars. You will take the DS2019 and apply for your  J-1 visa in your country. • Be sure to pay the SEVIS fee prior to your visa appointment; go to http://www.fmjfee.com to pay the $180 SEVIS fee via Western Union (see www.fmjfee.com). • Students already in the USA, who have a visa, must submit copies of your passport, I-20/DS2019, I-94 and visa.

  9. Step 4 - English Language Proficiency • ESL: no min. score is required.  • ESL and major: 475  paper    52  Ibt  150  Computer • Major: 500 paper toefl;  61  IBT:  173 Computer

  10. ESL (English as second language) • ESL: If 20 hours a week, $450 a month. • No Toefl requirement • Short term

  11. Step 5- Complete Health Forms • Two forms must be completed and submitted to Health Services before a student can enroll: • Student Health Form (PDF) • Meningitis/Hepatitis Form (PDF)

  13. Affordable study abroad at TTU • International exchange for everyone • Requiring no university agreement • Duration: one or two semesters • One semester internship allowed • No degree at TTU but transferable • A shorter intensive language program is available. (starting July 1)
