  1. What Is the Specialty of a Christian Funeral? Christianity is the largest followed religion in the world with more than 2 billion followers. There are many sub-groups of this religion like Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Methodist etc. However the same thread of worship of Jesus Christ runs through the different belief systems within this religion. Like all religions Christianity and its sub-groups have rituals associated with birth, marriage, death and other important occasions of a human life. Among all these the most heart touching are the rituals at the time of the death of a loved one and each Christian and his or her family wants a memorable Christian funeral. The grief of losing a loved one is too hard to bear and this is why the added responsibility of arranging a proper funeral can be a challenge for the family and friends of a dear departed. And this is where the services of a good Christian funeral company comes in to the picture. The funeral companies specializing in arranging funerals for Christians take on the complete responsibility of the common rites like – a Eulogy, Prayers, Bible readings and the rites of committal. Christians belief in resurrection and the afterlife, due to which the clergy usually advice Christians to bury their departed. Even if the deceased wanted their body to be cremated, the ashes are buried instead of being scattered like in some other religions. During a Christian funeral, the near and dear ones get together for the vigil before the actual funeral service. When the friends and family arrive at the graveyard, the pall bearers carry the coffin to the burial site and the priest sprinkles holy water on the coffin and reads from the Bible. Hymns and prayers are read throughout the ceremony and sometimes the deceased will himself or herself leave their choice of hymns and passages of the Bible that they want to be read at their funeral. All these rituals become easier with the help of professional funeral services and leave the family and friends to share the reminiscences of the dear departed.
