Informative Writing/ Passage based • Introduce your topic clearly (follow GACT) • Use examples, facts, and quotes from the passages to develop your essay • When you use quotes use quotation marks or say, According to the passage entitled, “ “ or according to and give the author’s name • Use transition words so your writing doesn’t sound choppy • Use higher level vocabulary • Have a strong conclusion (use the conclusion formula) • Proofread and correct any mistakes!!!
