Regional Sea Power Symposium 2010 Venice The 8th RSS2010 Venice, advocated by the Italian Navy and pushed forward by many navies, has become an important forum on deepening friendship and exchanges of ideas of various navies aimed at bettering regional security and cooperation, and the symposium has aroused ever more serious attention of many sea powers.

  3. Regional Sea Power Symposium 2010 Venice Communication and cooperation between navies in an effort for maritime harmony, peace and development is also the objective the Chinese Navy has long been seeking for, though this is the first time she joins the function.

  4. Regional Sea Power Symposium 2010 Venice The Chinese Navy is a defense sea power aimed at safeguarding maritime security of the country. China is a bigger country of responsibility. The Chinese Navy is taking an active role in the international maritime security affairs in an open way.

Regional Sea Power Symposium 2010 Venice In the past 60 years of its growth, the navy has dispatched 33 batches of ship groups, 40 naval vessels in total, to 30 countries of five continents for port visit . It has organized or participated dozens of bilateral or multi-national military exercises.

We believe bilateral contact brings about understanding; bilateral understanding leads to trust. Henceforth, we are looking forward to improving bilateral military trust by the suggested means of touch.

PLA Navy commander, Adm. Wu, points out, navy is an international force; exchanges and efficient co-operations between navies cannot be ignored in tackling with non-traditional threat in the wild maritime environment.
