OrientationFall Quarter • 39% of OSU Engineering students will graduate from the College of Engineering (COE) • Reasons for student attrition • Unable to connect with peers (academically & socially), faculty, & campus community • Unsure of “fit” within major/college choice • Unsure of expectations in new academic environment • NOT grades alone

  11. Tektronix ScholarsReasons students joined “I applied to be a Tektronix Scholar because I wanted to have hands on experience to accompany my education to be and engineer. In order to really decide if this field is what I want to do, I need to attain real life skills in the work force.”

Tektronix Scholars Reasons students joined “ I think that it will really help me . . . to see what some practicing engineers are doing and how what I am learning will relate to my work later in my life. It is making me really excited to eventually get into the workforce. It is also really nice getting to know some OSU faculty and other women in engineering and makes me feel more at home.”
