  3. Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” ~v. 5~

  4. God’s Plan Humble Ourselves Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,

  5. casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. ~v. 6-7~

  6. …under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you. ~v. 6b~

  7. Involves Trust Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. ~v. 7~

  8. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made to God. ~Philippians 4:6~

  12. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. ~v. 10~

  13. According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood. ~1 Peter 1:2~
