Becoming a recognized student club at Clark College involves a clear chartering process. First, pick up a club charter packet from PUB 160. Gather necessary signatures, including your advisor and 10 currently registered students. Submit the completed packet to the Club Coordinator's mailbox in PUB 160. The Club Coordinator will review it and contact you regarding any issues. If approved, your club will be discussed in the next Club Committee meeting. Be aware of potential challenges like similar existing clubs or invalid student signatures. For assistance, refer to the Club Handbook and contact the Club Coordinator at ascccc@clark.edu.

Charter Process How to become a Club
Charter Process • Pick up a club Charter packet from PUB 160 • Get all appropriate signatures including: Advisor’s signature and 10 currently registered students • Turn in to Club Coordinator’s Mailbox in PUB 160 • Club Coordinator reads through it and will contact Representative listed if there are problems • Club Coordinator and Director of Student Life approves it
Charter Process Continued • Listed Representative gets a notice saying their Club is up for Charter at next Club Committee • At Club Committee, Charter gets discussed and voted on • If approved, Congrats! • If denied, Representative and Club Coordinator will meet to discuss any possible changes, then back to Club Committee
Possible Challenges in getting Chartered • Mission Statement isn’t inclusive to all students or it focuses too much on the community, not Clark College • Not all 10 student signatures and SINs are valid • Another Club very similar to yours already exists • Another Program at Clark already exists that is the same as your Club
Other Information • Please Read Club Handbook! • Found at http://www.clark.edu/student_life/forms_docs.php • Any other questions, comments, etc. • Ask the Club Coordinator! • Email at ascccc@clark.edu • You must attend at least 4 Club Committee meetings to keep “Active” Club status
