  2. The Amazon • Brazil, South America’s largest country, also has the world’s largest river, the Amazon.

  3. The Rainforest • Surrounding the Amazon is the world’s largest rainforest.

  4. Plants and Animals • The Brazilian rainforest is home to “half of the earth’s species” of plants and animals (Brazil – A Country Study).

  5. Deforestation • Many of the Brazilian rainforest’s species are being destroyed as a result of deforestation.

  6. Before It’s Too Late • We must visit the Brazilian rainforest before it’s too late!
