  12. Absorption Absorption is when light gets soaked up by something in the environment. A flashlight beam gets dimmer because the light gets absorbed by air particles.

  13. Absorb means to soak up! A sponge ABSORBS water.

  14. A medium is what a wave moves through. Ocean waves travel through water Light waves can travel through empty space.
