  2. The Word Of God Is Living (forever relevant) – cf. Psalms 95:7-11; Hebrews 3:7-8; 3:12-13; 4:7 1 Peter 1:23 “having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth.”

  3. The Word Of God • Is Active (powerful)– • To create. Genesis 1; Hebrews 11:3; Psalms 33:6-9 • To sustain. Hebrews 1:3 • To prove. Hebrews 1:1-2; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 2:1ff • To save. Romans 1:16

  4. The Word Of God Is Piercing (penetrating) cf. 2 Samuel 12:1-7; Acts 2:37

  5. The Word Of God Is Discerning (judging) Matthew 15:18-20; Proverbs 4:23; Proverbs 23:7; cf. Hebrews 5:11-14

  6. The Word Of God IS… LET US FEAR – Hebrews 4:1 LET US BE DILIGENT – Hebrews 4:11 LET US HOLD FAST OUR CONFESSION – Hebrews 4:14 (3:6, 14; 10:23). LET US COME BOLDLY TO THE THRONE OF GRACE – Hebrews 4:14-16. LET US GO ON TO PERFECTION (maturity) – Hebrews 6:1.

  7. The Word Of God IS… LET US DRAW NEAR TO GOD – Hebrews 10:22 (13:13). LET US CONSIDER ONE ANOTHER – Hebrews 10:24-25. LET US LAY ASIDE EVERY HINDRANCE – Hebrews 12:1. LET US SERVEGOD WITH GRACE – Hebrews 12:28. (Joy, gladness & thankfulness, 1 John 5:2-3).

  8. God Hath Spoken... Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, (which is) your spiritual service. And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
