It suggested aspects of alternative medicine"ought to be as extinct as divination of the future by the examinationof a bird's entrails". • o BMA Journal 1999 • In a survey carried out by the BMA they found: • • 56% of GP’s regularly arrange CAM treatments for their patients • • 47% of those treatments are for Acupuncture • • 79% would like to see Acupuncture on the NHS • • 46% would like to practice Acupuncture themselves on their patients
