  2. Auto Registration • A feature in the Temp Trak application that automatically displays the temperature of unregistered sensors. • Including any sensor with a battery that may be in someone’s drawer or in a cabinet. • A radio button in Temp Trak turns the feature on or off. • The feature was turned on February 2, 2006 and turned off later that same day.

  3. Auto Registration ON • A battery is placed in the sensor, the reset button is pressed and the sensor is installed on the appliance. • The signal sent by an unregistered sensor IS automatically picked up by the system.

  4. Birth of an AUTO-ADD • The system automatically registers the sensor with the title “AUTO-ADD SENTRY XXXXXX.” (XXXXXX is the factory set sensor ID) • The AUTO-ADD is born! • is displayed in Temp Trak • is NOT a member of a Group or View • displays no specific location

  5. The AUTO-ADD • is a PERMANENT ENTRY in the Temp Trak system until deleted or registered. • can be renamed, added to a Group and View, etc. when it is properly registered. • when registered it is no longer considered an AUTO-ADD.

  6. Auto Registration Off • A battery is placed in the sensor, the reset button is pressed and the sensor is installed on the appliance. • The signal sent by an unregistered sensor is NOT automatically picked up by the system.

  7. Auto Registration Off (Cont’d) • The system does NOT automatically register the sensor. • The sensor • is not a member of a Group or View. • is not displayed anywhere in Temp Trak. • MUST be registered to display the temperature it is sending.

  8. Facts • AUTO-ADD sensors • exist in the system. • need to be updated to reflect their actually location. • This may require a physical inventory. • Currently, the AUTO-ADD function has been turned off. • No sensor will be visible unless it is registered.
