  1. HOS Presentation to Heads March 11th. 2008

  2. 1.Has the recent HOS project to provide all KS1 and 2 schools with video cameras, digital cameras etc helped schools deliver the Primary Framework in Literacy?

  3. 2. Over the last three years HOS have provided the following, please select all that have been useful: • Cambridge Mult-e-maths Problem Solving CD or (for KS1) Mult-e-maths Toolbox. • 2 Simple’s ‘2Create’ for Literacy and foundation subject work. • Qwizdom Voting System – for assessment. • Video camera, digital camera, sound recorder and Webcam for a wide range of e-tasks (sorry for e-word)! • Trialling video-conferencing with Transition Project.

  4. 3. Over the year 2008 – 9 identify the current range of HOS projects you might want your school to participate in: • Our River Project • School Specific training i.e IWB’s • Trialling the Qwizdom Voting System • Preparing for the KLZ • Y6 Transition Video Conferencing

  5. 4.Please enter your answer • On a scale of 1 through to 5 how ready do you feel to take on KLZ? • 1 = Fear and Trepidation • 5 = Bring it on!

  6. 5. True or False • Start small and the KLZ will grow with you EIS are recommending starting the KLZ with some or all staff and then bringing in additional users (i.e. children) as the school feels confident. Is this a supportive approach?

  7. 6. Yes or No • Do you have the ‘log-ons’ to access the KLZ demonstration school site so that you can look at the KLZ and see what it offers? • Kent Learning Zone portal address: https://portal.klz.org.uk • Cluster Username:                               maidstone1.cluster • Cluster Password:                                readonly

  8. 7. Would an online calendar that can be written up at any time be : • Just another task • More convenient than a paper based diary. • A time saver. • Unworkable.

  9. 8. On a scale of 1-10 is there a value in having a log like this where faults with equipment, or caretaking tasks could be recorded and stored.

  10. 9.Asset registers and other documents are available for all who need them. Is this useful?

  11. Who sees what? On KLZ different people have access to different areas of a school site. So staff calendars are seen only by those with access.

  12. Would it be helpful not to have to ask for plans/schemes of work to be handed in because both you and the teacher can view them? A) Enter 2 Answer Choices

  13. Reaching the children: Each class has an area of the site – A) Enter 2 Answer Choices

  14. I didn’t go to the Roadshows, can I still get the information from those events? For more information in addition to the demonstration site –there are the Powerpoints and various video clips at the bottom of this page on Clusterweb. http://www.kenttrustweb.org.uk/advisory/ict_learningzone.cfm
