  1. Google Google is the most used website in the world. Founded in September 4, 1998, as a search engine. It currently earns an average of 60 billion dollars a year.

  2. facebook • Facebook is an online social networking service. Facebook was founded in February 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow Harvard University students. Facebook currently holds a record of having 1.15 billion users.

  3. craigslist • Craigslist is a classified advertisements website with sections devoted to jobs, housing, personals, for sale, items wanted, services, community, gigs, resumes, and discussion forums. Created by Craig Newmark in 1995, it’s main source of revenue is gained from paid job ads in select cities.

  4. Rotten tomatoes • Rotten Tomatoes is a website devoted to reviews, information, and news of films. Its name derives from the cliché of audiences throwing tomatoes at a poor stage performance.

  5. amazon • Amazon is an American international multibillion dollar electronic commerce company. Founded by Jeff Bezos, it’s currently the world’s largest online retailer.

  6. weebly • Weebly is an American web-hosting service that features a “drag-and-drop” website builder. Weebly hosts over 15 million sites, with a monthly rate of over 100 million unique visitors.

  7. imdb • Imdb, or, Internet Movie Data Base, is an online database of information related to films, television programs and video games. Currently owned by Amazon, it is one of the most popular online entertainment destinations, with over 100 million unique visitors each month.

  8. yahoo • Yahoo is an American multinational corporation. Serving as a search engine, and providing online services, such as: Yahoo Mail, Yahoo News, Yahoo Answers, Yahoo Directory, and Yahoo Finance. It’s one of the most popular websites in the United States, with an average of 700 million users visiting it each month.

  9. Armor games • Armor Games hosts free Flash-based browser games. Founded by Daniel McNeely, The site hosts a variety of games, such as puzzles, shooters, action/adventure games, and strategy games.

  10. twitter • Twitter is an online social networking and micro blogging service that enables users to send and read “tweets,” which are text messages limited to 140 characters. Founded by Evan Williams, over 340 posts are tweeted onto twitter each day.
