Service Transformation • Manitoba Business Employment and Services Online • Enables an integrated service delivery model that bundles business and employment within a single window approach • Enables business, employers, and individuals to transact electronically with government for their need • Provides a common client experience, regardless of the delivery channel • More accessible online and in-person www.manitoba.ca/tradecareers

HSAP • HSAP: High School Apprenticeship Program • Combination of regular academic work with paid, part-time, on-the-job, practical training • Available in over 40 trades • For high students age 16 in grades 10, 11, or 12 • High School Apprenticeship Training Coordinators: 2 urban, four rural and Northern, including one Aboriginal training coordinator. www.manitoba.ca/tradecareers

Financial Incentives • In addition to the financial incentives that HSAP apprentices are eligible for, they are also eligible for the same incentives all other apprentices, Red Seal or otherwise, can obtain. • Employers of apprentice and journeypersons can also receive incentives for hiring HSAP apprentices, Red Seal apprentices and all other apprentices too. www.manitoba.ca/tradecareers

E-ADDI • E-Alternative Delivery Development Initiative (E-ADDI) • Links the capacities for students, apprentices, and our Colleges • Promotes the trades as a legitimate career choice in urban, rural, remote and Northern communities • Partnership with Red River College, Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology, and University College of the North • Ability to stay home with family in a community and simultaneously engage with mutual learners • ELLUMINATE is a preferred method for instructors to engage with participants www.manitoba.ca/tradecareers

Trades Qualifications • Two routes to trades certification: apprenticeship and certification model or trades qualifications • Requirements • 1) hours of experience • 2) years of experiences • 3) scope of experience in tasks of the trade • 4) application and assessment • (prior learning assessment and recognition- PLAR) • 5) certification examination • 6) certified journeyperson • Supports for Internationally Experienced Tradespersons: • library resources, work experience forms, trades qualifications preparation courses, Work Place Essential Skills Training Centre, Vocabulary Cards and Coordinators • Trades Bridge Program & WISNIT www.manitoba.ca/tradecareers
